Gambling Commission seeks research services to fill evidence gaps on gambling harms.
The Gambling Commission, an executive non-departmental public body sponsored by the UK Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport, is conducting early market engagement for research services to fill evidence gaps on gambling-related harms. The procurement is funded by a new statutory levy on gambling operators introduced in April 2025. The research will address six evidence themes including early gambling experiences, operator practices, and illegal gambling. The Commission seeks a collaborative partnership with a research organization to accelerate evidence generation. This is pre-tender market engagement; no contract value or duration is specified.
