TUCO (The University Caterers Organisation Limited) is establishing a closed framework for the supply and distribution of milk, dairy, bread, and baked goods to its members, including universities, colleges, and the wider public sector in the UK. The framework covers milk (including dairy alternatives), dairy products (creams, butter, cheese, yoghurts, eggs, and alternatives), fresh and frozen bread (including gluten-free), and fresh and frozen baked goods (cakes, pastries, confectionery, low-sugar options). The framework is planned for a maximum of 4 years with an estimated total spend of £20 million (£3.5 million annually). Suppliers must be able to cover the full scope of products for each lot, and the framework includes an option for a one-stop shop for fresh milk and bread supply to local authorities.
