Framework for corrosion testing services for UK fusion energy programme.
UK Industrial Fusion Solutions Ltd seeks to establish a framework agreement with specialist corrosion testing providers for the UKFE STEP programme over two years. The framework covers testing of high-temperature coolants, carrier gases, and breeder materials against STEP coolant-facing alloys and candidate tritium breeding materials. Only organisations that can directly undertake the testing are eligible. The framework aims to streamline procurement, support SMEs, and ensure compliance with the Procurement Act 2023. Testing will generate mechanistic understanding of corrosion interactions to quantify effects and identify mitigation strategies.
