Upgrade of Duvauchelle water treatment plant with membrane filtration.
Christchurch City Council seeks tenders for the upgrade of the Kaitouna Duvauchelle Water Supply Treatment Plant in Canterbury, New Zealand. The existing plant uses conventional media and cartridge filtration and fails to consistently meet Drinking Water Standards, requiring costly tanker water during high turbidity events. The project will install membrane filtration to achieve a minimum 4-log protozoa credit, fully automated operation with SCADA, and low lifecycle costs. The new plant must be constructed on the existing site while maintaining continuous service. The contract covers design, construction, and commissioning of the treatment plant upgrade.
