CSA seeks R&D for Martian methane detection via ICOS technology.
The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) requires specialized R&D services to advance ICOS technology for in situ methane detection on Mars. Work includes developing low-pressure ICOS instrumentation, miniaturizing mass and volume, environmental testing under simulated Martian conditions (100-130 Torr), and performance characterization at trace methane thresholds. Deliverables include engineering reports, design updates, and prototype hardware. This Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN) may lead to multi-year collaboration until the initiative is completed.
