Technology Enabled Care Service for vulnerable residents in Herefordshire.
Herefordshire Council and NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care Board (ICB) jointly commission a Technology Enabled Care Service (TECS) for vulnerable residents across Herefordshire. The service includes supply, installation, maintenance, and monitoring of technology-enabled care equipment, community equipment, daily living aids, and minor adaptations, as well as collection, cleaning, refurbishment, and recycling of equipment. The contract was directly awarded for 18 months (1 August 2025 to 31 March 2027) following the unexpected cessation of the incumbent provider, ensuring continuity of critical services that prevent avoidable hospital admissions and support independent living. The award is published retrospectively due to urgent circumstances.
