Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH) is conducting preliminary market engagement for a comprehensive Digital Pathology Solution covering whole slide imaging, image management, AI-enabled quality control, AI diagnostic integration, storage, and teleconsultation. The solution must support a throughput of over 2000 slides per day with 8% annual growth, integrate with Epic Beaker LIMS, and provide scalable storage from 1.2 PB to 7 PB with UK data residency. The procurement may be joined by other trusts in the Mid-East-5 Pathology Network. Suppliers must offer CE/UKCA-cleared systems for primary diagnostic use and an open AI integration framework without proprietary lock-in.
