SDC seeks suppliers for three waters O&M contracts starting July 2027.
Southland District Council (SDC) is preparing to go to market for three waters operations and maintenance services from 1 July 2027. The procurement covers separate contracts for treatment facilities operations and maintenance, reticulation operations and maintenance (including preventative and reactive works), and mechanical and electrical services. The services support a large dispersed network across Southland, including drinking water for 12 communities, rural water supplies, wastewater for 20 communities, and stormwater across 25 towns. Contracts will be NZS3917:2025 based with Special Conditions. SDC seeks suppliers with capability and experience to deliver reliable, responsive services and collaborate with Council and other suppliers. The market approach is planned for August 2026, with one-on-one sessions available in July 2026.
