FAA seeks materials compatibility testing services for unleaded aviation fuel programs.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) seeks contractor support for materials compatibility testing and evaluation services under the Piston Aviation Fuels Initiative (PAFI) and Eliminate Aviation Gasoline Lead Emissions (EAGLE) programs. The contractor will conduct laboratory testing to assess the compatibility of candidate unleaded aviation gasoline with existing aircraft fuel system components and materials. Key deliverables include test plans, data analysis, and reports. The work supports FAA's goal to transition general aviation to unleaded fuels. The contract is expected to be performed at the FAA's William J. Hughes Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Offerors must demonstrate experience in aviation fuel materials compatibility testing and relevant laboratory capabilities.
