Development of New Build Council Housing at Churchstoke, Powys, Mid Wales

Powys County Council is preparing to tender a design and build contract for 38 new council dwellings on a greenfield site in Churchstoke, Powys. The mix includes 1- to 4-bedroom houses and bungalows. Designs are at RIBA Stage 3 with full planning permission. The project must meet Welsh Development Quality Requirements 2021, Secured by Design Gold, Lifetime Homes, and AECB CarbonLite standards. The contract will use JCT Design and Build 2024 with amendments, and subcontractor payments will be via a Project Bank Account.
