Manage application and assessment for social work training cohort.
The Department for Education (DfE) is procuring a contractor to manage the application and assessment process for Cohort 10 of the Step Up to Social Work (SUSW) programme, which trains postgraduate students to become qualified social workers. The scope includes developing a marketing plan, designing and hosting a web portal for at least 5,000 applications, operating a helpline, conducting eligibility checks, providing an applicant tracking system, hosting a timed written exercise, managing assessment centre bookings, and delivering management information. The contract runs from February 2027 to November 2027, with the programme training 640 students in Cohort 9. DfE encourages SMEs and VCSEs to bid, and consortia bids are allowed. All communication must be via the Jaggaer portal.
