NHS Wales framework for adult mental health and learning disabilities care homes.
Velindre University NHS Trust, on behalf of NHS Wales Local Health Boards, is establishing an all-Wales framework for residential care services for adults (18+) with mental health and/or learning disabilities. The framework comprises six lots covering care homes with and without nursing for mental health, learning disabilities, and combined needs. No volume or value is guaranteed, but the estimated annual value is £50 million. The framework runs from April 2027 to March 2035 (8 years) and remains open for new applicants annually. Providers must be able to deliver care home services across Wales.
