NAO modifies audit contracts, adds £9.6M and extends term.
Some language patterns suggest this RFP may be written for a specific incumbent vendor. Review qualification requirements and brand-specific terms carefully before committing bid resources.
The National Audit Office (NAO) has modified its existing Financial Audit and Assurance Services contracts, originally awarded under procurement reference GEN_20_22, to increase the total contract value by £9.6 million and extend the arrangements. The modification covers audits for the Ministry of Justice and the Department for Digital, Media, Culture and Sport, which are part of the NAO's Society Group. The change ensures continuity of statutory audit delivery without altering the nature, scope, or objectives of the contracts. Changing contractors would cause significant inconvenience, duplication of costs, and disruption to audit planning and quality assurance. The increase remains below 50% of the original contract value.
