Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council seeks a contractor to deliver minor aids and adaptations for residents in council properties. The service covers supply and installation of grab rails, handrails, stair rails, key safes, over bath showers, ramps up to 300mm rise, and other minor adaptations costing under £1,500 per job. Works include asbestos surveying and removal. The service is provided free to users and is available to all Sandwell council tenants. No out-of-hours provision is required. The contract is awarded via open procedure using the In-tend e-tendering system.
