Framework for live interpretation and theatrical performances at UK palaces.
Historic Royal Palaces (HRP), a registered charity managing six historic palaces including the Tower of London and Hampton Court Palace, seeks to establish a framework agreement with up to four organizations for live interpretation and theatrical performance services. The services include short (9-18 days) and long (30+ days) site-specific productions inspired by palace stories, as well as short family-friendly productions. HRP requires providers to embrace participatory approaches, understand non-theatre audiences, work within historic spaces, prioritize inclusive practice, and scale to multiple productions. Tenders from agencies or consortiums are excluded; subcontracting is allowed with prior approval. The framework is expected to start April 2027, lasting 3 years with possible 2-year extension.
