Ecological consultancy for endangered spider recovery at Clumber Park.
The National Trust seeks ecological consultants for Package A of the Diamond-backed Spider recovery project at Clumber Park and Sherwood Forest. The work involves studying the ecology, breeding phenology, and dispersal of the Critically Endangered Thanatus formicinus; providing habitat management guidance; assessing connectivity; and developing a translocation plan by 2029. Collaboration with the National Trust, British Arachnological Society, and University of Nottingham is expected. The project runs from 2026 to 2029.
