Energetik, trading as Lee Valley Heat Network Operating Company Limited, seeks a contractor to design and build two extensions to its Meridian Water Heat Network in Enfield, UK. The western extension runs from Church Street near Edmonton Green to Winchmore School and Edmonton County School; the northern extension runs from Ponders End High Street to Capital College and Waverley School. The works involve installing approximately 2.9km of DN200 and 0.5km of DN150 district heating pipe, with most pipe already purchased from Logstor and stored in Denmark. The contractor must call off pipe delivery, purchase joints and materials from Logstor, install pipes mainly in roads or cycle paths, and extend the leak detection system. Key requirements include liaison with Enfield Highways for Section 50 licences, achieving at least £1.5m spend by 31 March 2027 (sectional completion), and practical completion by 31 March 2028, with liquidated damages of £20,000 per day for delays.
