Fire engineering consultant needed for National Gallery's new wing in London.
The National Gallery seeks a Fire Engineering Consultant to support the delivery of a new building integrated with its existing estate on Trafalgar Square, London. The consultant will develop and coordinate the fire strategy, including means of escape, compartmentation, smoke control, evacuation, phased occupation, and operational continuity. They must advise on fire safety integration with the existing estate and heritage-sensitive contexts, liaise with the London Fire Brigade and Building Control, and coordinate with the project team through design, procurement, construction, handover, and operations. The role requires relevant experience in fire engineering for constrained urban and heritage environments.
