Market engagement for regional complex care respite facility for children.
The Regional Partnership Board (Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taf) and Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board are exploring the need for a regional complex care short-breaks respite facility for children with complex physical healthcare needs. The facility would offer safe daytime, overnight, and short-stay provision, supporting families who provide full-time care. At least 38 children have been identified with unmet needs requiring clinically supported care, including airway/respiratory support, enteral feeding, TPN, and line management. Providers must be HIW registered or willing to become registered. This is a market engagement exercise, not a call for competition; no contract dates or values are specified.
