Concession for on-street EV charging across Liverpool City Region.
Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) is procuring a concession contract for the provision of on-street electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across six local authorities (Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens, Wirral). The project aims to support residents without off-street parking and accelerate the transition to EVs. The contract is funded by the LEVI program (OZEV/DfT) with £9.6 million capital funding, and the supplier is expected to invest its own resources. The estimated contract turnover is £443 million over 15 years, based on a target of 9,591 charge points in the first four years. The contract value is an estimate and subject to change.
