Hampshire County Council seeks provider for older adults day services in Basingstoke.
Hampshire County Council is seeking an external provider to deliver the Older Adults' Day Service in Basingstoke, currently operated directly by the council. The service, known as the Day-Opportunity and Community Hub Service (DoCH), is a community-based service focusing on enablement, care, and support for vulnerable older adults, especially those with dementia, and their unpaid carers. The contract is valued at up to £5,475,892.74 over eight years, with financial support for mobilisation including up to £85,000 for TUPE-related redundancy costs and up to £41,500 for transport, rent, IT, and transformation costs. The service aims to meet social care needs, build confidence, promote independence, support mobility, prevent social isolation, and enable carer respite. The contract is expected to commence around 18 January 2027, with a collaborative mobilisation timetable.
