TfL awards contract for fire hydrant upgrades at two depots.
Transport for London intends to award a contract for the design and build of fire hydrant systems at two depot locations: Queens Park and Triangle Sidings. The existing hydrant systems are outdated and fail to meet current British Standards and TfL regulations, particularly regarding water pressure and flow rate for fire suppression. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring the systems are fully operable and compliant with relevant safety legislation. The contract is awarded to Delcore Fire Engineering Ltd following an open competition under the Procurement Act 2023.
