Slip remediation on Crown Range Road with up to 10,000m3 excavation.
Queenstown-Lakes District Council seeks a contractor for slip remediation works on Crown Range Road at RP 15.77. The project involves slope stabilization by cutting benches from top to bottom, removing up to 10,000m3 of material, and placing it at a designated deposition site at RP 20.21. The contractor must install a temporary bridge across the Cardrona River, remove and reinstate a timber catch fence, and adhere to strict Resource Consent conditions due to ecological and cultural significance, including a Lizard Management Plan. Native planting and creation of loose rock stacks are required at the deposition site. The work is heavy construction with environmental constraints.
