Helipad remediation at Waikato Hospital, live environment, $50M insurance required.
Health New Zealand (Te Whatu Ora) seeks a main contractor for helipad remediation at Waiora Waikato Hospital. The works include erection of a new Palisade wall, retaining wall repair, stormwater adjustments, subgrade replacement with engineered fill over 2/3 of the helipad, repainting and markings, and reinstatement of catch nets and lighting. The contractor must have proven experience in construction or remediation within live hospital and aviation environments, with strict safety controls and continuity of essential services. The selected contractor must hold $50 million public liability insurance. The project is a single-stage tender with a close date of 6 August 2026.
