Research on measuring grip of structured road markings.
The German Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt) is procuring research and development services to develop a measurement procedure for the grip (skid resistance) of structured road markings and colorings. The project aims to establish a standardized method to assess the friction properties of these surface treatments, which are used to enhance road safety. Bidders must demonstrate expertise in road surface characterization and measurement technology. The contract is expected to run for 24 months with a value between €100,000 and €1,000,000.
