Technical assistance for Nigeria's electricity regulatory frameworks under UK PACT.
The UK Government's UK PACT programme seeks a supplier or consortium to provide technical assistance to Nigeria's electricity regulator, NERC, focusing on three areas: institutionalising emissions tracking in the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry, developing demand forecasting guidelines for distribution companies, and conducting an Institutional Capability Assessment to strengthen NERC's effectiveness. The work aims to create practical regulatory frameworks and tools to support Nigeria's clean energy transition under the 2023 Electricity Act. Suppliers must submit applications to expertdeployments@ukpact.co.uk. The assignment is expected to complement existing donor support and address critical gaps.
