Mastication of herbicide-treated openings in Virginia national forests.
The USDA Forest Service, CSA East 1, is soliciting for mastication services of herbicide-treated openings in the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests (GW&J) in Virginia. The work involves mechanical mastication of vegetation on approximately 200 acres of treated openings to reduce fuel loads and improve forest health. Contractors must have experience in forestry mulching and operate specialized equipment such as tracked or rubber-tired masticators. The contract is a firm-fixed price with a performance period from date of award through September 30, 2026. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12 and 13.
