The Department for Education (DfE) seeks a subject matter expert to advise on structural and fire safety performance of 2D panelised modern methods of construction (MMC). The supplier will research, collate, and review information on recent use of 2D panel systems in low to medium-rise UK buildings, including site visits and engagement with major contractors. The work aims to determine if standards and guidance for traditionally constructed buildings need adaptation for 2D panelised methods. Suppliers must be registered on the CCS RM6242 Construction Professional Services DPS with appropriate service filters. The procurement is via a market engagement event followed by an invitation to tender.
