EPC for 1.1MWp solar farm and 2MWh BESS in Newport.
Cyson Cymru, on behalf of Newport City Council, seeks EPC proposals for the turnkey design, installation, and commissioning of a solar farm and DC coupled battery at the council's recycling centre depot in Newport. The project includes up to 1.1MWp gross PV capacity and a 2MWh DC battery energy storage system with a 400V grid connection. The contract is expected to be awarded in 2026 with construction in 2026/7. The contractor is responsible for supply, installation, and maintenance of the system.
