Network Rail seeks OLE monitoring services using in-service trains.
Network Rail is procuring services for monitoring Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) using in-service passenger trains. The scope includes designing, building, operating, and maintaining sensor technologies for data capture, processing, storage, and transmission. The requirement is split into two lots: Lot 1 for roof-mounted pantograph/OLE monitoring and Lot 2 for forward-facing video and analytics. Suppliers must provide demonstrably proven solutions; Network Rail is open to innovative methods. The contract term is four years with a break clause after three years, and up to three contracts per lot may be awarded. Deployment will be incremental via in-contract RFQs.
