Replace 20m failed quay wall at Lake Taupō marina.
The Ministry for Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport (MCERT) seeks an experienced contractor to replace a 20-metre section of quay wall at the Landing Reserve Dinghy Basin, Lake Taupō, New Zealand. The existing wall has structurally failed, with undermined footing and fencing in place for public safety. The project involves installing new steel sheet piles, removing the compromised wall, and reinstating surface and services to current standards with a 50-year design life. The work is urgent to prevent further deterioration threatening adjacent marina assets and to restore safe access before the busy summer season. The draft contract will be issued via addendum; respondents should subscribe to the notice for updates.
