Framework for low-value public sector purchases via digital marketplace.
The Government Commercial Agency (GCA) has awarded a framework agreement for Tail Spend Solutions, providing public sector buyers access to a pre-qualified, dynamic supplier base via a digital marketplace. The framework covers ad hoc, low-volume, low-spend purchases including stationery, office supplies, computer peripherals, clothing, educational equipment, furniture, and cleaning products. The framework has been extended to 25 January 2027 due to litigation delaying a replacement agreement. Total spend to date is approximately £100m, with expected spend during the extension not exceeding £200m, well below the original £1bn ceiling.
