The USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is seeking information from vendors capable of supplying diet components for rearing New World Screwworm (NWS) flies as part of its sterile insect technique program. The required components include spray-dried whole egg powder, spray-dried blood, and other specific ingredients for larval and adult diets. Vendors must demonstrate experience in producing these components for insect rearing, with quality control and consistency. The contract is expected to support the NWS eradication program in Edinburg, Texas, with potential annual quantities and long-term supply needs.
