NZQA seeks application services to replace legacy eQA platform.
The New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) is seeking proposals for the Strategic Technology Enhancement Project (STEP) to replace its legacy eQA platform. The procurement covers three application service capabilities: Learner Records Management (learner profiles, enrolment, results), Assessment Management (exam centres, logistics, marking), and Specialist Workforce Management (resource planning, onboarding, claims). Suppliers must be suitably qualified; an online briefing is scheduled for June 4, 2026. The RFP will be released in early June 2026 via GETS. This is a multi-year, high-complexity digital transformation initiative.
