DC power converters for MYRRHA proton LINAC procurement.
The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and the Belgian Nuclear Research Centre (SCK CEN) are procuring unipolar DC power converters for the MYRRHA Phase I (MINERVA) 100 MeV proton linear accelerator. The contract covers the design, manufacture, testing, delivery, and commissioning of approximately 30 power converters with specific electrical specifications. Bidders must demonstrate experience in designing and manufacturing similar high-precision power converters for particle accelerators. The contract value is estimated between €1 million and €10 million, with a duration of approximately 3 years.
