DESNZ seeks consortium for industrial decarbonisation research programme.
The Department for Energy Security & Net Zero (DESNZ) seeks a consortium to deliver a research programme building the policy-relevant evidence base for industrial decarbonisation and carbon management. The work covers four main work packages: industrial fuel switching (electrification and alternative fuels), resource and energy efficiency, carbon capture and storage, and lifecycle assessment. Additional work includes a flexible fund, data and stakeholder engagement, and standalone projects. The consortium must have expertise across industrial sectors, decarbonisation measures, technology assessment, and policy analysis, employing methods like literature reviews, data collection, modelling, and stakeholder engagement. The programme is expected to run for multiple years, with outputs including reports, data, models, and decision support tools.
